The Japanese Sampler queen-sized quilt pattern is simply stunning.  Some fabric companies are printing fabrics that have 2 1/2" wide lengthwise strips of various fabric designs ready to cut apart for "jelly roll" patterns. Why cut them apart when you can use the fabric as it is? Northcott's Silhouettes collection by Ro Gregg was used for this stunning bed quilt. Add the hand- or machine-stitched sashiko blocks if you wish, referring to any of the sashiko books available for instructions. Alternate instructions are included if you are not using a pre-printed stripe fabric.
