| I was raised on a farm in Ohio and had many females in my extended family that made quilts. I made my first quilt when I was 12. I didn’t make my next one until I was 20, but I have been quilt making ever since. I have often added components that I designed into the quilts I made, but I started actually designing quilt patterns in 2008. It is a wonderful thing to see an idea turn into a quilt pattern. I was also published in Mary Englebreit’s Home Companion with my quilting friends for a group of quilts we did together. That was very exciting! That brings me to the next best thing that quilting brings…wonderful friends. I am also a wife, and mother of 3 great kids, and am a very lucky girl.
