I am Melanie Hoimyr and I live on a ranch near Lake Alma, Saskatchewan Canada. I have sewn most of my life, taking 4-H, Home Economics and learning from my mother. Having received a diploma in Dressmaking and Design, I ran my own sewing business for 12 years. Sharing sewing with others is something I enjoy, having taught beginner sewing and lecturing for the local quilt guild on embroidery. Sewing and designing clothing had been my main focus, but for the last 6 years I've been quilting and really enjoy it. I have made several quilts for gifts, all one-of-a-kind. This has inspired me to design patterns to share with all of you!
