Diamond Delight

Both wall and bed quilts capture the entirety of very large-repeat fabrics in an elegant setting. The wall quilt uses a single panel (18 x 24 piece of fabric), the bed quilt uses four. Perfect for Asian or other 24 repeat fabrics (e.g., Kona Bay Emperors Collection, Alexander Henry, cover quilt uses a Transpacific fabric combined with Lakehouse Direct fabric). Diamond Delight can also be used for smaller repeats, but once the repeat falls in the 12 range, the Five of Diamonds pattern shown below would be a better choice. If the panel is smaller than 18x24, instructions include sizing up with framing strips.

Diamond Delight only needs three fabrics in addition to feature fabric, so it ia easy to choose fabrics; fabric guidance and swatch chart are included in pattern. Construction is limited to half-square triangles and 4-patches. Diamond shapes are achieved with no bias edges!

Perfect for large-scale fabrics or panels, no bias edges!
