Fat quarters will work for this quilt.  If you purchase a minimum of 8 red and 8 black and white assorted fat quarters, you should have enough for the blocks and the outer border.  It is recommended that you buy more to have more variety.  You could use any extra fabric to piece your binding or make in interesting back.  Of course, you could add any extra to your sash!

I have just completed the quilt pattern - Contra Dance. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed making this quilt and that the instructions were clear enough even for a beginner like me. I intend to purchase more of your patterns and know that I will enjoy them just as much.  Thanks for the designs that look like an expert did them but are for 'newbies' like me.
