Quilting has long been recognized as an American art form. I am an artist using fabric to design works of art. For over 25 years, quilting has been my passion. I love the process of choosing a pattern and the fabric. I found out early on that I also enjoy finding easy ways to design and make quilts. From attending Empty Spools Seminars for several years, I have been privileged to have studied under Ann Fahl, Caryl Bryer Fallert, Carol Taylor, Nancy Elliot McDonald, Jean Wells, Freddy Moran, and Gwen Marston. By taking classes, you take ideas that work for you to form your own works of art. I really enjoy inspiring new artists. I started Quilting Discoveries when I discovered an innovative technique of putting your quilt on point without cutting any side setting triangles. There are now 30 patterns using this technique. Known as the Straight to the Point TM Series (STTP), the patterns are featured by my publisher QuiltWoman.com. I also have 47 published patterns with traditional layouts.

Over the past years, I have also been honored to have had my patterns featured in Quilter's World, Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting, American Quilter magazines, and another in a 2012 Leisure Arts published book Quilting In Black and White.

I have also enjoyed the many friendships and fun that teaching others and quilting together has made in my life. As I have been inspired by others to new ideas and creativity, it is most gratifying to see others create their own art.

It is my hope that my patterns will inspire others to find their own ...Quilting Discoveries.
