Collection: KB - Kay Buffington - Kay Buffington

Kay Buffington loves to quilt and sew.

After retiring from teaching Kindergarten for 34 years, Kay's teaching skills have turned to a different direction, and she is now teaching quilting classes at various quilt shops in Pennsylvania. Kay is currently teaching at 6 quilt shops, a sewing center and at her church.

Kay's patterns are written so that they are easy to understand and have lots of illustrations included. All levels of sew-ers can follow these patterns.

Kay's main love is miniature quilts. Miniature Quilts magazine published her Celtic pattern in issue #47 in Spring 2000. Also in that issue is a picture of her Trip Around The World miniature. In the past Kay has won prizes in minature quilting.

Kay's quilting experience began in 1982 when she made her first two Log Cabin Quilts just a week before school started. In 1989 she began teaching quilting to adults. These adults were just as excited as her Kindergarten children were when learning something new. This inspired Kay to create patterns, so that she could share with a larger group of people.

Kay is available for teaching.
