Designer Bio G2P - Going 2 Pieces Quilts - Ruthann Benge

Ruthann has been fascinated with the Star of Hearts pattern since the early 80’s, when she made a small, hand appliqued quilt with this design.  She wrote machine applique Star of hearts patterns in the early 2000’s, but has re-written them using the Accuquilt Go! Cutter and recently, cut up the hearts for her Pieces of My Heart pattern. She also loves snowmen and has three patterns to choose from.

She started quilting in 1999 after joining a local quilt guild where the ladies constantly taught her new methods.

In 2002, she founded a beginner’s guild and called it Going 2 Pieces Quilters, thus the name for her business.

She has taught in local guilds, quilt shops, at NEORQC (2013), and at The Quilt Camp at Cedar Lakes for five years.
