Designer Bio HCH - H. Corinne Hewitt Quilt Patterns - Corinne Hewitt

My name is Corinne Hewitt. I am the proud owner of H. Corinne Hewitt Quilt Patterns & Fabrics Quilt Shop in Hanna, Alberta. I was born in Regina, SK and was raised on a farm north east of Carlyle, SK. I have been married for 24 years to my husband Kenny and were blessed with four wonderful children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Seven years ago, we left the farm and moved to Drumheller, Alberta. After we opened the quilt shop, we moved to an acreage outside Delia, Alberta.

I have always been creative. In the first 15 years of marriage I baked for farmers markets, canned fruits and vegetables, made crafts and sewn clothes for my family. I have always tried to challenge myself with everything I did. I learned to play the fiddle and played with an old tyme band called "The Happy Wanderer's" for 4 years until we moved to Alberta.

I have always done some quilting over the years, but I really got into quilting soon after we moved to Alberta. I designed my first pattern, "Three by Four Special" in 2007. Kenny and I opened our quilt shop in Hanna, AB in 2009. We just celebrated our 5th year in business. We also moved to a new location in January 2013. It is much brighter and has a whole lot more space. I plan to continue creating new patterns and promoting the ones I have.
