"Fibs and Fables" is the title of this wonderful fabric line by Anna Marie Horner for Free Spirit Fabrics. It brings back memories of my days in our Community Theater, complete with the cobwebs in the corner of the high ceilings. It was also the inspiration for the Spider Web blocks in this lap quilt.

We paper-pieced the wedges, eliminating the need for any special rulers. Paper-piecing also controls the bias edges to help the centers of these blocks lay flat.

Rated as intermediate, this pattern will also work for a strong (and patient) beginner who is familiar with paper-piecing. Check out one of the many excellent paper-piecing tutorials available online for guidance.
