The Marble Pools quilt and table runner pattern uses one simple block in two color ways. Blocks are composed of pool rims and pools. The color placement of rims creates an illusion of three dimensions. Use of simulated marble or stone fabrics adds to the illusion, but batik, tone-on-tone or small print fabrics also work well.
The sample shown uses the Marblehead fabric line by Ro Gregg for Fabri-Quilt. The pattern includes three table runner sizes and four quilt sizes. The pattern also included instructions for both regular and paper-piecing. The required skill level is advanced beginner as seam sizes need to be consistent. Use the Whirlwind Whiz to make all the quarter square triangles. They will go together in a snap
Finished Sizes:
Small Table Runner: 17" x 41"
Medium Table Runner: 17" x 53"
Large Table Runner: 17" x 65"
Throw/Lab Quilt: 59" x 71"
Twin Quilt: 83" x 95"
Double/Queen Quilt: 95" x 107"
King Quilt: 112" x 112"
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Technique: Pieced
