We loved the large oriental print at the centerpiece of this line by Nell Whatmore for Free Spirit Fabrics. So we featured it in 15" blocks! We balanced the on-point design with her wonderful trees and used the green lattice print to pull everything together. We added borders, repeating the same three fabrics and then inserted a bright pink binding flange to add that vital pop of color. The flange goes on after quilting and right before the binding to add the final bit of texture.

We've done all the calculating for cutting directional fabric to guide you through the best use of these fabrics.

The pattern also includes a great 1/4" seam allowance practice. Our "Well-behaved Borders" section will have you measuring the borders properly to ensure that the quilt ends up nice and flat without wavy edges.
