This is a great project for charm squares! Choose fabrics in your child's favorite colors, pick an oversized sweatshirt in a companion color and you'll be ready to go. Work around a small panel square, if you like, and unify the project by choosing a single fabric for the sleeves and hood. Keep the layout simple to avoid overwhelming that little body. Best of all…no need to remove or mess with that intimidating zipper! Once you've made one or two of these, you won't be able to stop! Won't they make a great gift, too?
