Before designing this quilt, I consulted with my nuclear submariner/computer engineer son, and he recommended that I use a "Mercator projection" as the basis for the outlines of the 7 continents. So, pick out your favorite fabrics and begin your journey around the world! This pattern is meant strictly for fun, and makes no bones about being imperfect--a few islands might be missing or a lake or two might not be shown, but on the whole, it's so cute!
