The colorful squares and rectangles in Receding pattern appear to float above the background. You can make it rectangular, or leave off the corner triangles for a table runner with pointed ends. A confident beginner will be able to sew this up with no problem. Fabric shown in the sample table runner is Island Batik’s Mystery.
