During a recent visit to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, we visited the Strawbery Banke Museume (yes, there is only one "r" in "Strawbery"). There we toured the quaint New England seaport homes and learned much about the lives of the early immigrants who lived there. On the banks of the Piscataqua River, which spills into the Atlantic Ocean, wild strawberries grew that were said to be as big as your fist. Thus the name of the village came to be Strawbery Banke and served as the inspiration for this quilt pattern.
The quilt pattern can be made using Layer Cakes or Honey Buns. You may also use scraps or fat quarters to get the strips need to make this quilt. Pick the size to suit your needs.
